Veterinary Surgeon, Director, Owner 

Dr. Lubos Kustra is a dedicated veterinary surgeon with a passion for animal welfare and a commitment to providing the highest standard of care. Graduating in 2008 from the University of Veterinary Medicine in Košice, Slovakia, Dr. Kustra has built a reputation for excellence in the veterinary field.

With a professional interest in diagnostic imaging, surgery, and oncology, Dr. Kustra employs the latest techniques and technologies to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans for his furry patients. His expertise in these areas allows him to handle complex cases with confidence and compassion, always prioritizing the health and well-being of the animals under his care.

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Kustra is a proud dog owner, sharing his home with his beloved Yorkshire Terrier, Cookie. He is also a devoted father to his daughter, Ema, who inspires him every day. Together, they enjoy exploring the outdoors and creating cherished memories.

Driven by a love for animals and a commitment to his community, Dr. Lubos Kustra is not only an accomplished veterinary professional but also a compassionate individual dedicated to making a difference in the lives of pets and their families.

Head Veterinary Nurse

 Hello, my name is Ellie. Since qualifying as an RVN in 2015, I have gained experience locuming around East Sussex, working in different clinics with a variety of patients. Before Covid, I would travel at least once a year to Greece to work alongside a cat charity, neutering and caring for the stray cats. I enjoy all aspects of the Veterinary Nurse role, but my favourite would have to be inpatient care, recovering from surgical procedures to long term medical cases. In my spare time, I enjoy gardening in the judgemental company of my cat, Jonesy.

"Hello, I`m Stacey. With almost 20 years in the Veterinary industry, qualified as Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2010, and spent last 10 years as Head Nurse, I`ve had privilege of a fulfilling career. Along the way, I`ve nurtured a passion for training. Teaching holds a special place in my heart, and I consider it a great honour. Nurse clinics resonate deeply with me, as I value, the bond between patient and client, often overlooked in today`s fast-paced world. I find particular satisfaction in wound management and caring for challenging patients who are often misunderstood. Despite opportunities for change, I would not trade my career for anything else; I`d gladly do it all over again. Outside of work, I share a wonderful life with my husband Tom and our amazing son. We enjoy exploring the countryside, getting creative with arts and crafts, and cheering on women`s rugby - come on, girls!"  

Veterinary Nurse

"Hi! I'm George and I'm fairly new to life by the sea, a move our 4 dogs are embracing!

After a long career in financial services, I made the unsual leap into the veterinary world and found myself nose deep in textbooks again! I was proud to achieve my nursing qualification and have since worked in veterinary hospitals, out of hours and general practice. I have a passion for orthopaedic surgery and rehabilitation. It's very rewarding working with people to teach physiotherapy techniques they can use at home, to get optimum results post surgery, and get those beach zoomies back! 

I am a strong animal rights advocate and believe in giving a voice to the voiceless. I use my spare time to foster and rehome animals in my local community. 

Much to my partners initial disbelief, I will take in any reptile in need, and we found ourselves on a snake rescuing mission on our 2nd Valentines Day together! 

I am looking forward to meeting more of our clients and making friends in the local community."

" Hello, I'm the other Ellie, best known as Shayler.

I started my nursing career in 2017 at a 24 hour Royal Veterinary College Animal Hospital where I developed my love for Emergency and Critical Care and Intensive Nursing . 

I enjoy all aspects of nursing care from the routine puppy and kitten 2nd vaccines all the way to the emergency surgeries and post-surgical care and recoveries. 

In my spare time I enjoy going to the gym, cooking and spending time with my family. I have two cats, Figaro and Peanut and two dogs, Zeus the Cane Corso and Delilah the black Lab. 

Delilah is almost always on reception at Our Veterina, ready to greet you along with our amazing reception team with a friendly face and waggly tail!"

"Hi, my name is Sarah, and I have worked as a veterinary receptionist and covered administration since 2014. I have a lot of empathy which I think is very important quality for the veterinary profession. I am always ready to listen to any worries or concerns regarding clients' pets and help with advice when needed. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and menagerie of dogs and cats, some of whom were rescued from work. In winter between October and April, you will find me once a month helping my daughter to run a carriage driving competitions. Lots of fun but can be cold. I am really excited to be part of such an amazing team as Our Veterina have."

Receptionist

"Hello, I am Naomi. I have only previously joined the team, and it is my first time in a veterinary environment.

I am already starting to love the role I do as a receptionist, meeting new animals and working with a lovely team.

I would consider myself as a very caring and considerate person who has a lot of patience and empathy for people when needed. I have a diploma in health and social from when I was at college, which may not always link in the veterinary practice, but I took the course as it is something very related close to home. I will try my best to help ease any struggles or problems people may have when coming into the practice. Outside of work I enjoy taking little Milo, the cockapoo, on a walk to big fields and woodland areas where he can be set free of the lead and release all the crazy energy cockapoos have!. I enjoy chilling with both cats Monty and Herbie and as they are lap cats, we tend to watch my favourite show Eastenders every evening together."

"Hello, my name is Hannah! I am new to the Veterinary profession, however my background of over 10years, is in Adult Healthcare and the Hair Industry. I have a passion for working with people and promoting managing their own health and wellbeing, this often extends to supporting family, friends and on occasions their pets too! I am incredibly empathetic and find it rewarding being able to help and support when stress or unforeseen circumstances occur. As a cat owner, my cat Kiwi who is 10years old, is an extended member of my family. He has supported and comforted me in overcoming many circumstances in my personal life. So, I can appreciate and understand the love, relationship, and attachment that many people have towards their pets. I look forward to working within the team at Our Veterina and hopefully getting to meet many of your furry loved ones!"

"Hello, my name is Sam and although new to the team have some veterinary reception experience and many years customer service and admin. I have always been very lucky to share my life with a menagerie of animals from horses to hamsters and everything in between! and understand their importance in.our lives. In my spare time I enjoy my two cats Dave and Daphne, once feral farm kittens, now very pampered moggies. I also enjoy time spent with Riding for the Disabled where I volunteer and when the sun is shining trips out as a pillion passenger on my husbands Triumph Bonneville."
